Deborah Chow to Direct Disney+ “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Series

The official Star Wars website has updated with an announcement that Deborah Chow will be directing the upcoming Disney+ exclusive series based on Obi Wan Kenobi. Hossein Amini will be working as the writer on the project. Chow will serve double duty as an executive producer with the help of Amini, Ewan McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, Tracey Seaward, and John Swartz. Lucasfilm’s Executive Vice President of Production, Jason McGatlin, will work as the co-producer. The Wrap has reported that Ursula Corbero will be joining the cast of “Snake Eyes” as the Baroness. For those who are not aware, the Baroness is a long time villainous in the G.I. Joe franchise and served as Cobra’s intelligence officer/ lieutenant. She first debuted in first issue of G.I Joe: A Real American Hero comic series by Marvel. Various news outlets have reported that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will remain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For those who are not aware, it was reported that Disney and Sony were not able to make a deal to keep Marvel Studios’ involvement on the character in future films. Yesterday, Deadline reported that Laura Dern, Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum will be reprising their characters for Jurassic World 3. While Goldblum’s return isn’t much of a surprise since he already reprised his role as Dr. Ian Malcom in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, it is surprising to see both Laura Dern and Sam Neil returning to portray their roles. Bandai Namco Entertainment America recently updated their official Youtube channel with a new character trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ. The latest trailer features a look at Gogeta [SSGSS].  For those who are not aware, Goku and Vegeta fused into this form in the Dragon Ball Super Broly film.
