The official Toonami Facebook page has updated with the announcement that the third season of Attack on Titan will premiere on the block on August 18.
As reported previously, the world premiere for the season was screened by Funimation Entertainment in North America and Canadian theaters earlier this month. The season will later premiere in Japan on July 22.
For those who haven’t been following the anime, the second season of the series finished its run on the block last July.
For those who aren’t familiar with the anime, Funimation provided a short description for the series.
From the director of Death Note comes Attack on Titan. Many years ago, humanity was forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress.
The first two seasons of Attack on Titan are currently available for streaming on Funimation Now and Crunchyroll.
