Today (JST), the 73rd volume of Tite Kubo’s long-running Bleach manga revealed the series will concluding in the next volume, which will be sold in fall. Following the reveal Shonen Jump confirmed that the announcement was true. The series began in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, whereas its final arc began back in February 2012.
Now, fifteen years later the series will finally conclude having inspired an anime adaptation which consisted of 366 episodes from 2004 to 2012, with Viz Media distrubting the series in North America in 2006. In America, the series premiered on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim and concluded in 2014 during the revival of Toonami. The manga and anime inspired four films, novels, video games and even a series of stage musical adaptations that launched in 2005, with its newest entry this month.
