The official Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Youtube channel has updated with the release date announcement trailer for the game. For those who are not aware, the game was apart of a kickstarter campaign in 2015. The game was pitched by Koji Igarashi, the creator of the Castlevania franchise and it serves as a spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Since then the game was in a long state of development. During the development process another project titled, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, was released for Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, and Windows in May 2018. Unlike Bloodstained, the game was designed to follow the NES platformer style.
In addition to the release date details the trailer features a look at the drastic overhaul to the game’s graphics. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be released for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows on June 18, 2019. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be released later on June 25, 2019.
