Mashable has reported that Captain Planet will be having a cameo on Cartoon Network’s O.K. K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. It has been revealed that David Coburn and LeVar Burton will be reprising their roles as Captain Planet and Kwame respectively for the upcoming episode of the series. The episode will feature Lord Boxman polluting the air around the plaza so it is up to K.O. and his friends along with the help of the Captain Planet duo to help stop him.
For those who are unaware, Captain Planet and the Planeteers was an animated show that aired on the TBS network on September 15, 1990 – December 5, 1992. The series was produced by Turner Program Servives and DIC Entertainment. A sequel titled. “The New Adventures of Captain Planet,” aired on September 11, 1993 – May 11, 1996. The sequel series was produced by Hanna-Barbera and Turner Program Services.
The episode will premiere on Monday, October 9 at 6:30 P.M.
