Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of The Night And Rondo of Blood Announced

Yesterday, Konami updated their official Youtube channel with an announcement trailer for Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of The Night And Rondo of Blood. As the name suggests the collection consists of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Both games were released for the original Playstation in 1997 and 1994, respectively.

Sony has confirmed via the official Playstation blog that this version of the game will include some new features. The new features includes; “4K/1080p upscaling, multiple high resolution backgrounds, different rendering options such as smoothing and full Trophy support.” The game will also use the DualShock 4’s analogue stick for movement and also will make confirmation sounds when players pick up items.

Sony provided a short synopsis for the collection.

‘Castlevania: Rondo of Blood’, first released in 1993 and ‘Castlevania: Symphony of the Night’, first released in 1997 are now available in one combined package for the PS4!

Experience two of the greatest games from the famous Castlevania series.
Make your way to the top of Dracula’s castle as Richter Belmont, descendant of the famed clan of vampire hunters, in ‘Rondo of Blood’, or take the leading role as Dracula’s son Alucard in ‘Symphony of the Night’.

Enjoy the unique world, the epic classical background music, and the side-scrolling action of the Castlevania series!

Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of The Night And Rondo of Blood is a Playstation 4 exclusive. The game will be released on October 26 priced at $19.99. Pre-orders are open on PSN and is currently priced at $16.99 for non PSPlus subscribers and $15.99 for PSPlus subscribers.
