Aric of Dacia, a 4th-century Visigoth warrior bonded with a powerful sentient alien armor, is facing a whole new kind of threat in the new series by best-selling writer DENNIS “HOPELESS” HALLUM (Star Wars: Darth Vader – Dark Visions) and amazing artist EMILIO LAISO (Marvel’s Spider-Man: Velocity). Can Aric become the hero the world needs today?

“What Dennis is exploring with Aric in regards to the ramifications of X-O Manowar’s actions and how they affect ‘normal’ people in this new series is not only very poignant for our current social climate, but makes for a powerful new chapter in the Valiant universe,” teased Editor HEATHER ANTOS. “The level of detail and world-building that Emilio brings into the visual storytelling only strengthens Aric’s personal frustrations with not only the world, but also himself.”

Assistant Editor DREW BAUMGARTNER is excited for fans to read the captivating conflict. “Aric’s attitudes, morals, and solutions to problems can feel totally out-of-step with the modern day. Dennis has found some unique ways of finding new tension within the basic premise of the character.” Drew added, “He’s introducing himself to his neighbors, which makes it an easy jumping-on point for anyone else who isn’t familiar with the character. Plus, Emilio is bringing his A-game on the massive superhero action.”
