IGN has reported that an animated series in in the works based on the Devil May Cry video game franchise. The series will be helm by Adi Shanker, who for those who are not aware, worked on the Netflix Original Castlevania animated series. According to IGN, Adi Shanker confirmed that the series “will join Castlevania in what we’re now calling the bootleg multiverse.”
Adi Shanker also posted about his involvement in the project on his official Twitter page.

No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
While I personally didn’t play many Devil May Cry games, I still think it will be interesting to see it as a part of the “bootleg multiverse.” I commend Shanker on his work on Castlevania since it turned out to be a fantastic animated series based on the franchise. It will also be interesting to see since both franchises have very similar settings so I think it may work out depending on how it will be handled.
