Disney+ Live-Action Ms. Marvel Series Announced

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that a live-action series based on Marvel’s Ms. Marvel is in the works for Disney+. Bisha K. Ali is set to work as the main writer and showrunner of the project.

The original “Ms. Marvel” aka Carol Danvers made her debut appearance in 1976. Throughout the course of the comics there were several Captain Marvels including Danvers who later became Captain Marvel in 2012. The show will focus on the current Ms. Marvel aka Kamela Khan. Kamela Khan is a Pakistani American who lives in a religious family and resides in New Jersey. Having powers described as polymorphous, she has the ability to stretch her limbs and change her overall shape. The character was created by G. Willow Wilson and illustrated by Adrian Alphona. The character debuted in Captain Marvel #14, which was released in August 2013 and later took the mantle in her own solo series simply titled, Ms. Marvel, in February 2014.

No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
