TVInsider has reported that Drew Van Acker will be joining the cast of the DC Universe Titans series as Garth aka Aqualad.
For those who are not aware, the original version of Aqualad made his debut appearance in Adventure Comics issue #269, which was released in February 1960. The character was created by Robert Bernstein and Ramona Fradon. The character would later become Tempest in the second issue of his own comic miniseries of the same name.

Warner Brothers and DC Comics provided a description of the character.
A founding member of the Titans and Aquaman’s eager sidekick,” this take on the Young Justice favorite was also born in Atlantis and is a member of the royal court who trained under Aquaman to be a protector of life in and out of the ocean.
No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates. The second season of Titans will premiere on DC Universe this Fall.
