In a surprising turn of events, Nintendo announced on Tuesday that another game in the Metroid series will be released. The latest reveal is Metroid: Samus Returns, which is a remake of the Metroid 2 game that was released for the original Gameboy in 1991. The game will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on September 15.
