Nintendo has updated their official Youtube channel with a new trailer for Octopath Traveler, which was first revealed during the E3 2018 Nintendo Direct. For those who aren’t aware, Octopath Traveler is one of the latest RPGs developed by Square Enix. The latest trailer features another look of the characters and reveals that a new demo for the game will be available on June 14.
Eight travelers. Eight adventures. Eight roles to play in a new world brought to life by Square Enix. And now, you can enjoy the first chapter of each in the new demo available June 14th on Nintendo eShop. Step into the shoes and live the stories of each of the eight travelers and explore the world of Orsterra. Then, carry your choices and adventure into the main game, once purchased, with save data transfer. Choose the path you wish to walk and discover what lies beyond the horizon.
Octopath Traveler will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 13.
As a long time fan of RPGs I think the game is still intriguing, however it is probably not something I would pick up right away. With a new version of the demo releasing in the near future it may be possibly that will change, however with what has been shown for the game so far it is highly possible it will be another great hit on the Nintendo Switch.
