Square Enix recently finished their E3 2019 presentation where they unveiled some new upcoming games. During the presentation they revealed Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. For those who are not aware the game is a remaster of Final Fantasy VIII, which was initially released for the original Playstation in 1999. Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will be released for the Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in sometime in 2019.
Coming in 2019, FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered marks the 20th Anniversary of its original release with a new visual refresh and brings the game’s beloved story to modern platforms: Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. With overhauled visuals, see your favorite characters come to life like never before!
I can easily say I am extremely hyped for this release since I always wanted to play Final Fantasy VIII. I actually own the original Playstation version, however due to its horrible graphics (in my opinion even for its time due to textural issues) it was hard to actually get into. That being said I am happy to see that this game is finally going to be released for modern platforms and even better with a somewhat fresh coat of paint.
