The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a new spinoff series based on several key female characters featured on Arrow is currently in production. The series is set to feature Mia Smoak/Green Arrow (Kathernine McNamara), Laurel Lance (Kattie Cassidy), and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). The series will first start as a “backdoor pilot” in the final season of Arrow, which will premiere on October 15. Beth Schwartz, Marc Guggenheim, Jill Blankenship and Oscar Balderrama will be working as the co-writers as well as the executive producers of the episode. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will also help with the production of the episode.
No other details about the project are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
