The time has finally come for the world to see the first trailer for the Netflix original series, Godzilla: Monster Planet! Godzilla: Monster Planet is the 32nd installment to franchise, however it is also the first Godzilla film to be animated. In addition, Godzilla: Monster Planet is the first film in trilogy of anime films for the King of the Monsters. This trilogy is being directed by Kōbun Shizuno, and Hiroyuki Seshita with Gen Urobuchi composing the screenplay. Toho Animation helms the production process, as animation is outsourced to Polygon Pictures. However, before the film is released onto Netflix it will receive a theatrical release in Japan on November 17th, 2017.
Furthermore, the official website has revealed an all-new original kaiju called Servum. This new kaiju is design after the wyvern, so it is capable of flying and moving on land. It is hinted to be one of the earliest species that the landing troops will discover on the kaiju infested Earth. Servum can briefly be seen towards the end of the trailer, as seen above.
