The official Star Wars website has updated with the first look at the cast of the upcoming Han Solo standalone film. Filming for the movie has started at the Pinewood Studios in London. It has also been confirmed that Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Thandie Newton have joined the cast of the film.
For those who aren’t aware the film will feature the story of Han Solo before the events of Star Wars Episode VI: A New Hope. The film is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller had to this to say about the film.
“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” Lord and Miller said. “We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”
The Han Solo film will premiere in theaters on May 25, 2018.
