The official Gotham Knights twitter page recently updated with the release date announcement for the game. For those who are not aware, the game was first announced during the DC Fandome event in 2020. While there were a couple of trailers released since then, overall news has been quiet for some time. Today it has been revealed that the game will be released on October 25, 2022.

The official website provided a description for the game.
Batman is dead. A new expansive, criminal underworld has swept the streets of Gotham City. It is now up to the Batman Family; Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin; to protect Gotham, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, you must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save the streets from descent into chaos.
Gotham Knights is an open-world, action RPG set in the most dynamic and interactive Gotham City yet. In either solo-play or with one other hero, patrol Gotham’s five distinct boroughs and drop in on criminal activity wherever you find it.
Ever since the game was announced I have been anticipated the release for the game. I have enjoyed the Arkham games and it was great to see a game that revolved around the other heroes of Gotham than just Batman. That being said it was a shame that news was so rare that it did dampen my anticipation since many other games were being announced since that. Overall I am glad to see a release date for the game and it is going to be quite the wait seeing as it will release near the end of the year.
