In the final episode of Gundam Build Fighters Battlogue a new project was teased to be revealed today, February 2nd. This new project was announced to be none other than an all-new series in the Build Fighters saga called, Gundam Build Divers. To accompany the reveal, Gundam.Info and the Bandai Channel on YouTube, featured a live feed of the press conference for the new series. Now, for those seeking to view the press conference, it does not include subtitles for international viewers. However, the press conference featured a majority of the contents for the official site, such as the cast, staff, and series’ story!
The Story:
The latest network game Gundam Model Battle / Nexus online (GBN) enables players to enjoy various missions using Gundam simulators in virtual space. The term used to refer to the users of the GBN is known as ‘Divers’. Junior high school student, Riku Mikami with close friend Yukio Hidaka, and classmate Yashiro Momoka are drawn into the world of the GBN. There they meet and befriend Sera, who has a mysterious sensibility to Gundam and Gunpla Battles… They also encounter the famous Diver, and current champion Kyōya Kujō; he is a member of ‘Force,’ a unit composed of multiple divers. ‘Force’ deals with disturbances caused by ‘Mass Divers,’ who deal in breaking the rules of the GBN. After many encounters and experiences, Riku builds not only his own Gunpla, but also his own adventure!

In addition, the press conference featured information on the upcoming products, and a prologue episode, Gundam Build Divers Prologue. Following the press conference this short episode was available for the public to view, and it features various subtitle tracks.
The Gunpla Force Battle Tournament is a big event held in GBN once per year. Competing in the final round are Avalon, led by the champion Kyoya Kujo, and the elite 7th Panzer Division led by the cunning Rommel. Starting with Kyoya’s Gundam AGE II Magnum, a variety of Gunpla take to the field to determine which is the strongest force!
The new Mobile Suits for the Gundam Build Divers will be abbreviated as HGBD in the 1/144 High Grade scale. The new Gunpla is designed to work in tandem with Gashapon (Capsule Toys), and the Candy Toy/ Mini-Pla; that means one could probably fuse Sentai Mechas with Gundams. However, we are unsure if will possible, or be sanctioned for official contests. The Gunpla below feature their official names, with the captions including the owner of the specific kit. However, some Mobile Suits currently do not have their owner’s identity revealed. In addition, there will be Build Custom parts released to be used with specific suits, or to be used however one sees fit! These kits will range in price, and begin to appear in stores throughout March to May, with more intended to join line.
Gundam Build Divers is set to be a Spring 2018 anime. The series is announced to be airing on Tokyo TV, but currently there is no premiere date. Yet, from the release information on the High Grades one should expect the series to have a late March to early April release date. We will provide more updates as this story progresses!
