The Wrap has reported that Haruka Abe is joining the cast of Snake Eyes, although currently her role is under wraps. The film will focus on Snake Eyes’ origin story where he strives to become a member of the Arashikage Clan. The Arashikaga Clan first debuted in issue #21 of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. In the issue it was revealed that Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow have the same tattoo of the clan.
The confirmed cast so far includes:
- Henry Golding: Snake Eyes
- Andrew Koji: Storm Shadow
- Iko Uwais: Hard Master
- Ursula Corbero: Anastasia Cisarovna/ Baroness
- Haruka Abe: TBA
No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates. The film is set to premiere in theaters on October 6, 2020.
