The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Hasbro will be gaining the master toy license to the Ghostbusters franchise in 2020.
Under the deal, Hasbro will be releasing products based on the property including Sony’s new Ghostbusters film that is set for release next summer. This isn’t much of a surprise due to Hasbro already releasing Ectotron based on the character from the currently running Transformers/Ghostbusters comic miniseries as well as Transformers x Ghostbusters MP-10G. Additionally Kenner previously released products based on the brand in both the 80s and 90s, which for those who are not aware was acquired by Hasbro in 1991.
No other details are confirmed at this time, however 2020 is going to be a big year for fans of the Ghostbusters.
