Jake Austin Walker and Meg DeLacy Join DC Universe “Stargirl” Cast

The official DC Universe website has updated with an announcement that Jake Austin Walker and Meg DeLacy have join the cast of the upcoming Stargirl series. Walker is most famous for portraying Seth Geary on The Walking Dead while DeLacy is known for portraying Grace Mullen on The Fosters.

Currently it is unknown who Walker will be playing on the upcoming Supegirl series, however it is been revealed that DeLacy will be playing Cindy Burman aka Shiv. In the comics Cindy Burman was introduced in Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. #1, which was released in August, 1999. The character was created by the joint team of Geoff Johns and Lee Moder.

The confirmed cast so far includes:

  • Brec Bassinger: Stargirl
  • Joel McHale: Starman (Sylvester Pemberton)
  • Lou Ferrigno Jr.: Hourman (Rex Tyler)
  • Brian Stapf: Wildcat (Ted Grant)
  • Luke Wilson: Pat Dugan/  S.T.R.I.P.E. 
  • Anjelika Washington: TBA
  • Henry Thomas: Dr. Mid-Nite (Dr. Charles McNider)
  • Joy Osmanski: Tigress (Paula Brooks)
  • Neil Hopkins: Sportsmaster (Lawrence “Crusher” Crock)
  • Nelson Lee: Dragon King
  • Jake Austin Walker: TBA
  • Meg DeLacy: Shiv (Cindy Burman)

The official DC Universe website provided a short description of the character.

“Cindy Burman is Blue Valley High’s most popular student… and its most feared. Secretly the daughter of Dragon King (played by Nelson Lee), a longtime enemy of the Justice Society of America, Cindy is determined to follow in her father’s footsteps.”

No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates. The DC Universe Stargirl series will premiere on the platform in 2019.
