Happy Thursday heroes, we have some casting news. Earlier this year with the Titans show, we learned that Cyborg was confirmed to appear. The big question being would it be Ray Fisher reprising his role or someone new. Today we’ve learned that Joivan Wade will be playing the half-man, half-machine Cyborg in the upcoming Doom Patrol series.

I don’t have much to say about this casting. I’m happy were getting another shot at seeing Cyborg in live-action form. Given that the character doesn’t seem to be appearing in Aquaman nor Shazam. I’m glad were going to get him on a smaller screen. Let’s quote a bit of the press release from DC Comics about Cyborgs role in the Doom Patrol series.
Cyborg’s role in Doom Patrol promises to be much meatier, though exactly what form it will take is still uncertain. In the show’s description, it’s suggested that the Doom Patrol will be called to action by Cyborg, who comes to them with “a mission that’s hard to refuse, but with a warning that’s hard to ignore.” Whether he’ll be a formal part of the team alongside already announced cast members April Bowlby as Elasti-Girl and Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane is uncertain at this time.
Anyway, until more casting news drops, I’m still XBen3000 and I’m out!
