June 2022 Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase Streamed

Earlier this morning, Nintendo streamed a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, which revealed a look at several of the upcoming third party Nintendo Switch games.

First the Direct featured another look at Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The latest trailer features a deeper look at some of the monsters that hunters will face. Additionally, the trailer revealed that the first of the upcoming free updates will see players fighting against the Seething Bazelgeuse starting this August. Another free update will bring new armors to the game starting on June 29. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be released on June 30.

 

The second direct reveal was that Nier Automata will be released on the Nintendo Switch. For those who are unaware, Nier: Automata was developed by Platinum Games and published by Square Enix. The game originally released for the Playstation 4 in 2017. The game is a spin-off of the Drakengard game series. Nier Automata: The End of Yorha Edition will be released on October 6.

 

Then third reveal was that a new puzzle game called Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is launching for the Nintendo Switch. The game is set to release sometime in 2023. Whereas, the fourth reveal was a sequel to Super Bomberman R will be released for the Nintendo Switch. The first Super Bomberman R was a timed exclusive for the Nintendo Switch and was released in 2017. Super Bomberman R 2 will be released sometime in 2023.

 

Surprisingly, the fifth direct reveal was Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection. For those who are unaware, the collection will include the main six Megaman Battle Network games as well as the various versions of them. The first game was released for the Gameboy Advance in 2001 and the final game in the series was released in 2005. The game will release sometime in 2023 and digital versions of the game will be available in two collections similar to the previously released Megaman collections. That was followed by a look at a remake of the first Pac-Man World game. The original Pac-Man World was released for the Sony Playstation in 1999. Pac-Man World Re-PAC will be released on August 26. Seventh, the direct revealed a look at an artistic cooperative adventure called Blanc. The game will be released in February 2023.

 

Next, the eighth direct reveal was a sequel to the Monkey Island game series will be released for the Nintendo Switch. The Monkey Island game series is a series of adventure games that started with The Secret of Monkey Island in 1990. The new game is the sixth title in the overall series. The game will continue off from the events of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. Return to Monkey Island will be released sometime in 2022. That was followed by another look at Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. The latest trailer featured a look several of the new abilities and also revealed that Bowser will be joining the adventure this time around. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will be released on October 20. Then the tenth reveal looked at Little Noah: Scion of Paradise. The game is a casual roguelike action game. The game is available starting today.

 

The eleventh reveal was a look at Railgrade, which is a railroad simulator being released this Fall. Whereas, the twelfth game to be featured was RPG Time: Legend of Wright. The game is a RPG set within the pages of a book, and it will be released on August 18. Afterwards, the thirteenth reveal was a new trailer for Sonic Frontier. The latest trailer took a deeper look at the game’s premise and a look at one of the locales known as the Starfall Islands. Additionally, the trailer revealed that the game will feature special zones called Cyberspace. In these zones, players will be able to control Sonic in a more familiar layout to the previous games. Sonic Frontiers will be released this Holiday season.

 

The fourteenth reveal was a look at Disney Dreamlight Valley, which is an adventure life-sim hybrid. The game will be released on September 6. Then the direct took another look at the previously announced, Live A Life. Players will be able to play three of the campaigns and will be able to transfer their save file to the full game when it releases. Players will be able to play Imperial China, Twilight of Edo Japan, and The Distant Future campaigns later today. Live A Life will be released on July 22. 

 

Eventually, the direct revealed that Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom will be released sometime this year. In addition, the direct revealed that Minecraft Legends will be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2023. Following those two announcements, the direct took a look Dragon Quest: Treasures. The game is a spin-off of the Dragon Quest series and will serve as a prequel to DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. The game will feature Mia and Erik as kids as they adventure to look for treasures and fight alongside monsters. Dragon Quest: Treasures will be released on December 9.

 

Then the eighteenth segment within the direct featured a highlight reel consisting of these following titles:

  • Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes – Available Now
  • No-Man’s Sky – October 7
  • A Plague Tale: Requim ~ Cloud Version – Ocobter 18
  • Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions – July 28

Finally, the last three reveals for this direct were presented. The first within the final three was that the Portal Companion Collection will be available later today. Then the second final announcement was for a new RPG life-sim game by Square Enix called Harvestella. The game will be available on November 4. Lastly, the direct concluded with announcing that several Persona games will finally be released on the Nintendo Switch. The first game confirmed is Persona V Royal and will be released on October 21. Whereas, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be released on the console at a later date.
