Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Netflix Animated Series Announced

Variety has reported that Netflix will be producing an animated series based on the Jurassic World franchise. The series will be titled, “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous,” and is set to premiere on platform in 2020. Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras will work as the showrunners/ executive producers on the project. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Colin Trevorrow will serve as the executive producers. Zack Stentz is set to work as the project’s consulting producer.

The official Jurassic World twitter page also updated with a teaser trailer for the series.

The series will take place in the timeline of the first Jurassic World film and will be produced by DreamWorks Animation.

The series is set within the timeline of the 2015 film “Jurassic World” and hails from DreamWorks Animation. It follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive.
