Today, Toei held the official press conference for the 42nd Super Sentai series, Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger. Now, as we have reported countless times Lupinranger VS Patranger will be the first time a Super Sentai series focuses on two different teams. The first team, the Lupinrangers, are thieves named after Arsene Lupin, and seek to acquire the Lupine Collection, powerful items that can shape or destroy the world. The Lupinrangers hope that the acquisition of the Lupin Collection will allow them to save someone they lost. The second team, the Patrangers, are apart of the International Special Police Organization seeking to protect the Lupin Collection. However, as the two teams face-off with one another they will also have to face the crime organization, Gangler.

The Lupinranger team consists of:
- LupinRed: Kairi Yano (Itou Asahi) – Said to be untrustworthy. He isn’t good at making fast decisions.
- LupinBlue: Tooma Yoimachi (Hama Shogou) – A gentleman who at times who at times gets lost in the battle against the Ganglers.
- Lupin Yellow: Umkia Hayami (Kudo Haruka) – Cute girl with a strong appearance.
The Patranger team consists of:
- PatorenIchigo: Keiichiro Asaka (Yuuki Kousei) – Serious with the job on hand and detests both the Gangler and the Lupinrangers
- PatorenNigo: Sakuya Hikawa (Yokoyama Ryo) – Good-natured although can be easily deceived. He is considered the perfect sharpshooter.
- PatorenSango: Tsukasa Myoujin (Okuyama Kazusa) – She cares for others around her and is indifferent against the Lupinrangers.
A full length trailer for the series was also posted on twitter via user Kashiverine. The trailer features a better look at both teams in action and also shows another look at their mecha, LupinKaiser and PatKaiser. The trailer also reveals that the Lupinrangers will have a butler Kogure (Yoichi Hotaru), a descendant of Asene Lupin. Whereas, the Patrangers will have a captain, the Hilltop Comissioner (Ike Nwala). In addition, the Patrangers have an assistant robot, Jim Carter voiced by Rei Kugimiya.

No other details are confirmed at this time. Kaito Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger will premiere on February 11 at 9:30 A.M. JST.
