Kamen Rider Double “Futo Detective” Anime Adaptation Announced

Toei has recently officially greenlit an anime adaptation of “Futo Detective,” which is set to debut in Summer 2022. For those who are unaware, the manga series served as a sequel to Kamen Rider W (Double). The series will be among the various productions that will be produced as apart of the 50th Anniversary celebration for the Kamen Rider franchise. The first volume of the manga was published in Weekly Big Comic Spirits in 2017 and ran for 10 volumes. Kamen Rider W made its debut in 2009, and is the 11th Heisei Era installment within the Kamen Rider series. Hideaki Tsukada will be working as a producer on the project.

Shotaro and Philip should have protected the wind capital. However, mysterious phenomena still occur frequently on the other side of the city. Tokime, a mysterious beauty who appeared in front of such two people. And a new evil shadow. Now, a new battle for Kamen Rider W is about to begin.

No other details about the project are confirmed at this time, so please stay tuned for more updates.

 

EDIT [8:10 PM EST]: Recently Funimation confirmed that they will be releasing the series in North America under the official name ” FUUTO PI.”
