Today, Toei held the official press conference for the next installment in the Super Sentai series, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger. As previously been reported, the new series will commemorate the 45th anniversary of the franchise. Whereas, its premise will feature our heroes attempting to save their world, and the parallel worlds. However, unlike previous series in the franchise, the leader will be human and the remaining members will consist of robots. These robots are referred to as the Kikainoids, who also double as the series mecha. In addition, the main gimmick uses the ‘Sentai Gear’ which harnesses powers from the past teams. Furthermore, the first trailer teases how the Zenkaigers will have assistance from past Super Sentai heroes.

Zenkaiser
Leading the Zenkaigers is Kaito Goshikida, a young man trying to be the “world’s first” in any field of profession. He’s usually a carefree idiot, but when he is driven he becomes a hot-blooded hero. Zenkaiser will be portrayed by Kiita Komagine.
The Kikainoids
- The first member of the Kikainoids is Zenkai Juran. When transformed his suit based on the mecha Daizyujin from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Juran’s personality is that of the ‘cool uncle,’ but he is also known for being very stubborn. Providing his voice is actor Shintarō Asanuma, better known for portraying Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Crow Hogan and Ultraman Geed’s Alien Shadow Zena.
- The second member of the Kikainoids is Zenkai Gaon. When transformed his suit resembles GaoKing from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger. Gaon prefers nature and animals more than machines. Also, he is Voicing Gaon is Yuki Kaji who is known for voicing Attack on Titan’s Eren Yeager, and Pokémon’s Clemont.
- The third member of the Kikainoids is Zenkai Magine, and it is the only female model among them. When transformed her suit resembles MagiKing from Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Proving the voice of Majine is Yume Miyamoto who previously portrayed SSSS.Gridman’s Rikka Takarada.
- The final member of the Kikainoids is Zenkai Vroom/ Broom, who resembles GoGo Sentai Boukenger’s Daibouken. Voicing Vroom is Takuya Satō who previously portrayed Cardfight!! Vanguard’s Toshiki Kai, and Gundam Build Fighters’ Tatsuya Yuuki (Mejin Kawaguchi III).
Candy Café ‘Colorful’
Kaito Goshikida lives with his relative Mitsuko Goshikida, who runs the candy café Colorful. She houses the Kikainoids at her establishment, and assists the Zenkaigers in the battle. She will be portrayed by actress and singer, Ikue Sakakibara.
Additionally, the press conference announced the series opening theme song, its performer and the series’ composer. Performing the opening theme song is Ultraman Dyna’s Takeshi Tsuruno. Whereas, title for the track is “Full Power, Zenkaiger.” Then as for the series score, it will be provided by none other that legendary tokusatsu composer, Michiaki Watanabe.
Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger will feature Shinichiro Shirakura returning as a producer, his first Super Sentai series since Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Shojiro Nakazawa will serve as head director, and Hirofumi Fukuzawa will be second-unit director. Whereas, the screenplay is being written by Junko Komura. The series is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, March 7th at 9:30 am and will be broadcast on TV Asahi.
