The official Mazinger Z: Infinity film website has updated with an announcement that Kouji Kikkawa will be performing the ending theme for the film. The ending theme for the film will be titled, “The Last Letter.” According to the website Kikkawa commented that “the song was made with the image of a pilot and his robots going beyond their limits and sharing a connection and sorrow.” Go Nagai, creator of the Mazinger Z franchise stated that the the song will “make the people who went crazy over Mazinger Z remember the good times.”
Kikkawa is best known for his work in Tokusatsu such as the insert songs for Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider Kabuto: God Speed Love.
The film will premiere in Japanese theaters on January 13, 2018.
