The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s Sequel Delayed

Recently, Nintendo revealed a new update video for the sequel to the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,  which was presented by series director, Eiji Aonuma. The video reveals that the game has been delayed to Spring 2023. This news is not much of a surprise since there has been very little details about the game ever since it was announced during E3 2019.  No other details have been confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.

While it is disappointing to hear that the game has been delayed for an entire year, I appreciate the team is trying to put as much work on the game as possible. It is also well known that many titles in The Legend of Zelda games were delayed in the past so it is not very shocking that it would happen again. The first game was amazing and I am sure the team will be able to make a sequel that will surpass it. That being said I am also kind of happy for the game’s delay since this year has been packed with several heavy hitters as is.
