Loki & Scarlet Witch to Receive TV Series on Disney’s Streaming Service

Variety has reported that Loki and Scarlett Witch will apparently receive their own shows on the upcoming Disney streaming service. While much is not known about the projects currently, it has been reported that Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are set to reprise their roles for the shows. According to their sources the shows “are expected to be hefty rivaling those of a major studio productions.” In addition, it is said that both shows will include up to six to eight episodes. The series is set to be produced by Kevin Feige with association of Marvel Studios.

No other details are confirmed at this time, so stay tuned for updates.

Personally I am not shocked to see new shows based on MCU characters make their way onto the upcoming Disney streaming service. However, I am surprised to see the characters they chose, seeing as Wanda has not received too much character development compared to other characters in the MCU. It will be interesting to see how to go with further developing the character in “her” upcoming show. Whereas, Loki on the other hand is a bit of an odd choice in my opinion seeing as the character was fleshed out quite well in the various films in the MCU, so it is going to be a bit weird to see how much more they could do with this iteration of the character.
