Today, the scans for the January issue of Televikun Magazine have been released online; as usual these scans feature events for the upcoming episodes of Kamen Rider Build, and Uchu Sentai Kyuranger! In addition, it features information on Ultraman Geed the Movie, and Kaito Sentai Lupinranger vs. Keisatsu Sentai Patranger. In this post, we will be presenting the Kaito Sentai Lupinranger vs. Keisatsu Sentai Patoranger portion which teases the upcoming series!

See It Before the Lupinrangers Steal It!
For the first-time ever in Super Sentai, a series will feature a rivalry between two teams; a them of thieves known as the Lupinrangers, and a team of police officers, the Patorangers. Each team will have the own agenda leading to them fighting one another, or working together to obtain their desired goals and defeat the Gangler. The Lupinrangers seek to regain an important person lost in the past. Whereas, the Patorangers work with International Special Police, and fight for justice and an ideal peaceful future. The series focuses on the teams trying to acquire the “Lupin Collection,” a collection of items previously owned by Arsene Lupin; these items can enable prosperity or destruction.
Each team will be lead by a Red Ranger. Lupine Red leads Lupine Blue and Lupine Yellow; when not transformed Lupine Red are easily confused for being ordinary people. However, the Patoren 1 (Red) leads Patoren 2 (Green), and Patoren 3 (Pink); Patoren 1 is a serious officer seeking to lower crime rates.
Their Various Arsenals
As seen in the toy catalog the Lupinrangers, and the Patorangers use the VS Changer, it is a rotating gun that is compatible with their mecha. The mechas called the Dial Fighters, used by Lupinrangers, and the Trigger Machines, used by the Patorangers. However, each team has an alternate weapon that compliments their own motifs. The Lupinrangers have the Lupin Sword that can double as a hook/claw to grab onto their treasures. Whereas, the the Patorangers have the Pat Megabo, a megaphone that can become a collapsible police baton.
Kaito Sentai Lupinranger vs. Keisatsu Sentai Patoranger is set to premiere Sunday, February 11th at 9:30 am JST on TV Asahi. The series features Junko Komura (Kamen Rider Wizard, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger) as head writer, and Takaaki Utsunomiya (Kamen Rider Wizard, Ressha Sentai ToQger, and Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger) as producer.
