Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger Cancelled by Freeform

In some sad news today, we have learned that Cloak & Dagger television series has been cancelled. This is a crushing blow as the show has gained a solid fan-base from its two years on television. I guess we were not enough to prevent the inevitable. Then again with other Marvel television series being cancelled, I cannot help but speculate that Marvel is pulling the plug on most of its shows that are not on Disney +. Recently the Ghost Rider show that was in development was also cancelled. Whereas, earlier this year the Netflix shows were cancelled too. So, I am hoping this is not the last time we see Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson. Anyways, here is a direct quote from Freeform speaking about the cancellation.

“We are so proud of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger and the trailblazing stories this series told,” Freeform said in a statement to Deadline. “We are also grateful to our incredible talent Oliva Holt and Aubrey Joseph for bringing these beloved characters to life, and showrunner Joe Pokaski for his vision. We’d like to thank our partners at Marvel Television for a wonderful two seasons and are we are hopeful that we can find another project together.”

Overall, I am hoping this is just goodbye for now and they can come back in the future. Oliva Holt and Aubrey Joseph are Cloak and Dagger, and I would not want new actors portraying these characters. With that being said, readers let us know how you feel down below and we will catch you later. Fans can still watch Cloak & Dagger on Hulu though, it is one of my favorite shows within the past two years.
