Monster Hunter Rise May Digital Event Streamed

Recently Capcom held another Monster Hunter presentation, which featured another look at the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion.

The presentation first featured a new trailer for the game, which showcased some new gameplay footage and several of the Monster fights. Next, the presentation featured a deeper look at three of the monsters that will be added to the game via the expansion. Existing monsters will feature new “Master Rank” versions, which are stronger versions. The expansion will also feature a new single player quests, which will allow players to bring “followers” to quests. The “followers” are some of the various NPCs the hunter will encounter during the expansion as well as some of the main game ones. The expansion will also feature an upgrade to the players’ Switch Skills and will be able to use new silkbind attacks. The new upgrade will allow to swap between two switch skills and players can register 2 loadouts in advance. During missions, players can also use the “Swap Avade” ability, which will allow players to quickly swap between Switch Skills.

The expansion will also feature new tweaks to some of the standard in game mechanics. Players will now be able to wall run without the need of a wiredash first and players will also be able to ride a monster or keep attacking them while they are in a mountable state. Players will also be able to switch between the new control options within the menu. Additionally, a new video showcasing more details for the new silkbind and switch skills for the various weapons on May 14. The team also revealed that a new Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Switch Pro Controller will also be available. Players will also be able to unlock the Navirou costume for their palico if they also have a save file for Monster Hunter Stories 2. Lastly, new free updates will be revealed this June. The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion will be released worldwide on June 30, 2022.
