Happy Friday heroes, we have some casting news when it comes to Netflix Avatar: The Last Airbender series. We’ve learned that Azula, Suki, Avatar Kyoshi, Gran Gran, and finally Suki’s mother Yukari have all been cast for this upcoming season. Elizabeth Yu will be playing Azula, Maria Zhang will be Suki, Yvonne Chapman is Avatar Kyoshi, Casey Camp-Horinek is in the role of Gran Gran, and finally Tamlyn Tomita will be playing Yukari. I have to say that the roster of characters is filling out nicely as the series is currently shooting in Canada as we speak. I honestly can’t remember Suki’s mother from the series but I do remember Gran Gran so I’m excited about that. I’m excited to see Azula, Suki, and Avatar Kyoshi making their live action debut on the small screen. Hopefully it leads to more people reading the Avatar Kyoshi book which outlined her reign as Avatar.
Overall, while I still have some doubts about the upcoming Netflix series. I feel that all of the casting choices for the most part have been good and I cannot wait to see what this show will look like when a trailer eventually drops. I don’t want to look at any leaked photos or found footage. So fingers crossed this production is able to stay under wraps and presents itself when it is ready.
