Nintendo recently had a Nintendo Direct presentation that revealed some new titles that will be released in the near future for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. During the presentation some new details about Splatoon 2 were revealed.
Salmon Run, a new four-player co-op mode, is coming to Splatoon 2! By teaming up with friends, players can take on a part-time job battling the new Salmonid species, which the Squid Research Lab reports might even be more lethal than the Octarians! When players fall in co-op mode, teammates can revive them by inking them on the battlefield. Splatoon 2 launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on July 21.
First, a new co-op mode was revealed. In Salmon Run, four players will fight against the Salmonids in order to gain the special Power and Golden Eggs. Players will be able to revive their friends with the power of lifesavers.
Next, three new Splatoon Amiibo were announced. These Amiibo will allow players to save their outfits and potentially get new outfits from time to time. The older Splatoon Amiibo will also be compatible for the sequel.
Finally, the release date for the game was announced. The game will launch on the Nintendo Switch on July 21.
