Premium Bandai recently unveiled the previously teased Complete Selection Modification Double Driver (ver. 1.5), which is to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Kamen Rider W. For those unaware, Kamen Rider W is the eleventh Kamen Rider series to air during the Heisei Era, having aired from September 6, 2009 to August 29, 2010. The series’ titular hero, Kamen Rider W/ Double is a 2-in-1 detective team, where one member will transfer their consciousness and join the other; normally the transfer consists of Philip/ Raito Sonozaki (Masaki Suda) joining his partner, Shotaro Hidari (Renn Kiriyama) to form Kamen Rider Double.
This new version of the Complete Selection Modification Double Driver will feature new updates to the belt. The first update allows fans to finally be able to release the belt strap from the left side of the driver; all previous versions of the Double Driver, whether retail or sold as exclusives, could only be detached from its right side. In addition, all six Gaia Memories will feature a more accurate ‘as seen on screen’ sticker and additional painted areas. Below is the official gallery from Bandai:
Now, the Complete Selection Modification Double Driver (ver. 1.5) will cost 16,500 yen. However, the item can only be won via lottery sales! Also, winners of the lottery can only claim the item at THE HENSHIN event, being held on December 7th to 8th. Lottery sale applications are currently open and sales will run from today, October 15th to 23rd. Overall, this announcement is unfortunate for international fans, as this item is not a regular Premium Bandai exclusive, so do not expect middleman services or online distributors to carry this item.
