Dragon Ball Super: Broly the movie will soon premiere in Japanese theaters, and Bandai/ Tamashii Nations is working fast to release S.H.Figuarts base on the characters. The company quickly teased Broly, alongside updated Super Saiyan Blue (Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan) Goku and Vegeta. However, thanks to a new movie teaser revealing that the film will also be the canonical debut of Gogeta, Bandai quickly unveiled the accompanying figure. Interestingly enough both, Broly and Gogeta will release alongside one another as retail releases set for April 2019.
S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Broly Full Power
This all-new S.H.Figuarts Broly is based on Akira Toriyama updated design for Broly, that will be featured in the film. The new figure/ design features Broly wearing traditional Saiyan attire, as well as a fur skirt. The figure will include two pairs of additional hands, and two optional facial expressions. In addition, Tamashii Nations empathizes that S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Broly Full Power is over 220 ml (roughly 13 inches +)! Below is the official gallery from Tamashii Nations:
S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Gogeta
Along with the film being the first Toriyama-canonical appearance of Gogeta, this is the first time the character will receive a S.H.Figuarts release. The Super version of Gogeta exchanges the orange and blue in his clothes for the basic yellow and green seen used by Gotenks. In addition, fans already speculate Gogeta will refer to himself as Gogeta Blue in reference to Super Saiyan Blue similar to Vegito. The figure will come with three pairs of optional hands, and two blue hair facial expressions. Also, the figure will feature base Gogeta head and an optional base facial expression. Furthermore, since the film features Super Saiyan Gogeta, fans speculate a S.H.Figuarts Gogeta Fusion Reborn version is in our future, so collectors can easily head swap. Japanese retailers will begin opening pre-orders for both S.H.Figuarts tomorrow, December 3. S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Broly Full Power is priced at 8424 yen, whereas S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta is 5940 yen. However, Bandai Namco Collectibles/ Bluefin Tamashii has yet to announce the North American distribution and prices for these figures. We expect the announcement to coming within the coming weeks, so please stay tuned for further updates.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly premieres in Japanese theaters on December 14. Whereas, in Funimation Entertainment/ Films has the North American premiere scheduled for January 16, 2019.
