Recently, Premium Bandai announced an all-new S.H.Figuarts option set that was not shown at past Tamashii events, or conventions. Now, this option set is for the previously release S.H.Figuarts Ultraman X, as it is the S.H.Figuarts Monsarmor Option Set. The set is based on the other Monsarmor units Ultraman X would summon, besides the Gomora Armor, within the series through the use of Daichi’s X-Devizer and Cyber Cards. Yet, all four armors did eventually fused together as the Hybrid Armor in the series finale, while Ultraman X was armed with his weapon the X-Slugger.
Now, the S.H.Figuarts Monsarmor Option Set will contain the three additional armors seen in the television series. The first armor in the set is the Cyber Eleking Armor based on the kaiju, Eleking (first debut in Ultraseven). Whereas, the second armor, the Cyber Bemstar Armor, is based on Bemstar (first seen in The Return of Ultraman). Finally, the last armor, the Cyber Zetton Armor, is based on the final kaiju from the original Ultraman series, Space-Dinosaur Zetton. Yet, that is not all as it will also contain the Xanadium Ray effect, an alternative Color Timer, and Tamashii stage for Ultraman X to unleash his signature attack. Also, in regards to the Hybrid Armor, the option set may be able to recreate the form even though the official information does not confirm if its possible. Pre-orders for S.H.Figuarts Monsarmor Option Set will open tomorrow, August 8th at 4:00 p.m. JST. Premium Bandai is selling the for 7150 yen, and its release is scheduled for January 2020. For international fans interested in purchasing this item, they will either need to contact a middleman service or locate an online distributor.
Ultraman X is the 27 entry of the Ultra Series, and the third installment within the New Generation Heroes era. The series aired from July 14th to December 22nd, 2015 for a total of 22 episodes. It was the first series to be simulcast to North America through the streaming service, Crunchyroll. However, since its original airing it also became available on TokuHD.
