Off the heels of the release for Godzilla vs. Kong trailer, Tamashii Nations has announced they will be releasing new MonsterVerse S.H.MonsterArts. The first of the figures is an updated S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla, which is a modified version of the King of the Monsters release from 2019. However, this release will not feature an effect piece based on Godzilla’s iconic Atomic Breath. Yet, the figure’s paint details promote the use of the technique. Whereas, the second figure is S.H.MonsterArts Kong, based on Godzilla’s co-star and opponent for the film. In addition, this is the first MonsterVerse Kong in the series, as the previous S.H.MonsterArts King Kong was based on the Peter Jackson remake. Below are the image galleries for the figures and lists for the items’ contents from Bandai:

Now, both S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla and S.H.MonsterArts Kong are retail releases scheduled for May 2021. In addition, both figures will be sold for 6,600 yen (roughly $66 USD). Pre-orders for these items should be opening soon at most online retailers. Also, Bluefin Brands currently says they will be distributing these products in North America, even though Playmates owns the toy rights for the upcoming film. However, Bluefin will be releasing the products a month late in June 2021. Nevertheless, Godzilla vs. Kong will officially premiere in theaters and on HBO Max on March 26, 2021.
