Following the announcement for Super Mini-Pla Brave Command Dagwon 02, Bandai revealed the Super Mini-Pla Brave Command Dagwon: Lian & Gunkid set. For those unaware, Brave Command Dagwon is seventh installment within the Brave series, which precedes The King of Braves, GaoGaiGar. The series features high school students being recruited to join an intergalactic police force and become the Dagwon. Their mission is to defend the Earth from the invasion of Sargasso prisoners who seized control of the space prison. Members of the Dagwon go through various tokusatsu-like transformations before joining with their vehicles to form the mecha. However, our heroes later add other Dagwon members, and obtain new allies.
Now, this Super Mini-Pla set is based on the sentient mecha allies from the series. The first member is the Space Swordsman Lian, a ‘mechanical lifeform’ that transforms between a knight and a sword. In the series, Lian flies around in the ‘Lio Sword’ mode like a jet, or he is wielded by Fire Dagwon; when partnered with En their signature pose is the iconic ‘Obari stance.’ In addition, Lian is voiced by iconic tokusatsu actor Yutaka Hirose who is known for his various villainous roles. Whereas, the second member in the set is Gundroid T-96, Gunkid, who turns into the ‘Infinity Cannon.’ Gunkid is like a Transformer having four modes: ‘Western’ robot, the ‘Kid Fighter’, the ‘Kid Tank,’ and the ‘Infinity Cannon.’ Furthermore, both robots within the set will be able to transform into their various forms, but Gunkid will be able to combine with other kits. However, a ‘Lio Sword’ accessory will be included for either Fire Dagwon, Power Dagwon or Super Fire Dagwon to hold. Below is the official gallery from Bandai:
Pre-orders for the Super Mini-Pla Brave Command Dagwon: Lian & Gunkid set are currently available through Premium Bandai. Orders for this set are priced at 5,940 yen and they are scheduled to release in May 2021.
