Variety has reported that Paul Rudd is in final negotiations to join the cast of the 2020 Ghostbusters film. Paul Rudd is set to portray a teacher in the film. As reported earlier, Jason Reitman will be working as the director / co-writer of the film. The film is stated to be set in the same universe as the original 1984 film and its sequel. His father Ivan Reitman will be working as a producer on the project.
Jason Reitman had this to say about Rudd’s involvement on the project.
“I’ve been wanting to work with Paul Rudd since my short film opened for ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ at Sundance. I’m thrilled he’ll be joining this new chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe,” said Jason Reitman.
