Pixar recently updated their official Youtube channel with the first teaser trailer for Elemental. For those who are not aware, the film was first announced at D23 2022. The trailer features a quick look at the premise of the film and look at Element City. Elemental will premiere in theaters on June 16, 2023.

Check out the teaser trailer and a poster for Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental,” an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, and featuring the voices of Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively, “Elemental” releases on June 16, 2023.
I personally thought the concept of the film was intriguing starting with the teaser image they had for the film earlier this year. The animation style looks really good and the character designs are unique. I like when Pixar thinks outside of the box and makes films that are not specifically human based since those turn out more interesting. Now that does mean I hate those kind of films, however in the realm of Disney films that focus on human ccharacters it is nice to see that Pixar works with more abstract concepts.
