PMC 2018 Day Two: Power Rangers Power Hour Panel

Power Morphicon is underway and Hasbro recently held their Power Hour panel.

The panel first revealed the final new character that will be added to the upcoming update for Power Rangers Legacy Wars. For those who have not been following the news, the Power Rangers Legacy Wars team have been announcing several characters that will be added in the next upcoming update. The previously revealed characters include the Shadow Ranger (Power Rangers S.P.D.), Samurai Gold (Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai), Titanium Ranger (Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue), Ranger Slayer (Boom Studios! Power Rangers Comics). 

 

Today, at the panel. the final ranger that will be added to the next update was revealed. The final ranger is confirmed to be Hyperforce Yellow from the Power Rangers Hyperforce online tabletop game on twitch.

Next, the panel took at look at some of the new upcoming Funko Pop Vinyl figures that were recently released and the upcoming releases. Some of the figures such as Pudgy Pig and Pumpkin Rapper are already available, however the panel did reveal two new upcoming releases. Funko will be releasing an Unmasked Green Ranger Tommy, which will be sold exclusively by Galactic Toys, and a PX Previews Exclusive Lord Drakkon Funko Pop Vinyls.

Then the panel revealed a look at some of the mini figures that will be released in the upcoming Heroes of the Grid board game.

Last, but certainly not least, Hasbro revealed that they will be releasing a Marvel Legends style toyline based on the Power Rangers brand. The toyline will be called the “Lightning Collection,” and will be released in Spring 2019. The figures are stated to include weapons, various accessories, optional SFX, and swappable photo realistic head sculpts. The figures will be in the 6 inch scale and they are stated to be released in mixed waves. The figures will retail for $19.99. While Hasbro has not revealed the full line-up of figures at this time, they did show a sneak peak in the form of the Mighty Morphin White Ranger.

 

The figure was also put on display at Hasbro’s booth at the convention.
