[Press Release] Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Lost Summer

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Lost Summer #1Hey there Heroes, it looks like we have another press release from our friends at Boom! Studios. So, it seems that this summer we be getting an all-new Buffy The Vampire Slayer standalone special. Like most stories within the comic, this one will also be set in the continuity of the TV show. Anyway, readers check out the details below, and enjoy some artwork previews from the upcoming comic.

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 16, 2023) –  BOOM! Studios invites you on a supernatural road trip this summer with Buffy and the Gang in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: THE LOST SUMMER One-Shot! Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer writer Casey Gilly, along with artist Lauren Knight (Golden Rage, Time Before Time), and colorist Francesco Segala (Firefly, House of Slaughter) bring fans a frightfully fun story set in the continuity of the cult classic TV series.

Spike is determined to keep the last copy of his embarrassing poetry from being discovered, sending Buffy and the Gang on a faux-supernatural goose chase to New Orleans to cover his tracks. While at an antiques fair along the way, the group is captivated by some Casquette Girls clothes on display. Dawn utters a wish she most likely should’ve kept to herself, and the gang experiences a first hand account of the sisters’ identities…beyond what they could have ever imagined!

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: THE LOST SUMMER #1 features a standard cover by Mirka Andolfo (Deep Beyond, Sweet Paprika), and variant covers by Veronica Fish (Firefly: Brand New ‘Verse, Blackwood), Paulina Ganucheau (Wonder Woman, The Amazing World of Gumball), and more!

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: THE LOST SUMMER #1 will be in comic shops in May 2023. It is available for pre-order at your local comic shop or at the BOOM! Studios webstore. Digital copies can be purchased from content providers, including comiXology, iBooks, Google Play, and Kindle.
