Remastered Batman: The Complete Animated Series Releasing on Blu-Ray This Fall

Warner Brothers has announced that Batman: The Complete Animated Series will soon be released as a remastered Blu-ray release.

For those who aren’t familiar with the series, Batman: The Animated Series was a series developed by Bruce Timm
and Eric Radomski. The series ran on the Fox Kids network on September 5, 1992 through September 15, 1995. The series ran for 85 episodes and the final 15 episodes of the series was known as The Adventures of Batman & Robin. Due to the popularity of the series it later received a sequel season known as The New Batman Adventures, which consisted of 24 episodes. The series premiered on Kids WB on September 13, 1997 and ended on January 16, 1999. With Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures the series as a whole consisted of 109 episodes.

The set will be released on October 16 and will feature remasters of all episodes of Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures.  The set well also include the remastered versions of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Mr. Freeze: SubZero. While both films will were previously released by Warner Archive on Blu-ray, this will give fans the chance to get the series and films in one package. The new special feature including in the set is a  60 minute making-of documentary of the series titled, “The Heart of Batman.”

The remastered set is currently being sold exclusively as a Deluxe Limited Edition box set, which includes:

  • Seven lenticular art cards
  • Deluxe artbook
  • Three Funko minifgures of Batman, the Joker, and Harley Quinn

The Deluxe Limited Edition box will have a limit of 30,000 copies and is currently still available on Amazon.com for pre-order priced at $112.99.
