When I first saw Doublecross/ Twinferno I was pumped to finally get an updated version of the character. The G1 version is actually a pretty great figure even today so I was excited to see an updated version of the character. Sadly the bubble burst when I actually got the figure in hand. Both modes look great although the dragon mode does look a bit awkward due to the large broad chest. It is cool to see a nod to his original version with the gear design though. The transformation is where the figure falls flat in my opinion. It is pretty clunky and I was never really able to connect the legs properly until way after I did the review. The robot mode is much better, however the guns cause stress marks in the pegs so it is unfortunate how that turned out. Personally I think the best part of the figure is that it includes Pirate Lion (not battle lion as I call it in the video) since it is a nice homage to the Battle Beast character. Regardless the figure itself is pretty good and I recommend this figure to those who are a fan of the character. I got this at Toysrus.
