Last December, it was revealed that an animated series based on She-ra was in the works. For those who are unaware, the new series will be a Netflix original series and will be produced by Dreamworks TV.
Today Entertainment Weekly revealed more details about the series including a new official visual as well as the cast for the series.
Noelle Stevenson, one of the producers on the project had this to say.
“I was always looking for the female characters in sci-fi and fantasy who were more than just the girlfriend,” says the celebrated cartoonist, 26. “I love the female characters in She–Ra. There isn’t another show quite like it.”
Chuck Aston. The series will be official titled, “She-ra and the Princess of Power,” and will be premiering exclusively on Netflix later this year.
