Review: S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Belial

Today’s toy review is a look at the Tamashii Nations S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Belial from the Ultra series. This figure is based on Ultraman Belial’s original Reionics form seen throughout a variety of films and series. Now, oddly enough this is not the first time the character has received a S.H.Figuarts, as last year Tamashii Nations released S.H.Figuarts Belial Atrocious, a form seen in Ultraman Geed. While the two forms/ figures are the same character, each body is engineered differently. Yet, their accessory count maybe near even. Nevertheless, this review tackles S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Belial as a standalone release.

For those unaware of the character, Ultraman Belial made his debut in the 2009 film, Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends the Movie. Belial is the first true villainous Ultra from the main continuity, hailing from the Land of Light. The character quickly became the main antagonist for Ultraman Zero, son of Ultraseven, in his titular films. However, Belial met his demise at the hands of his own genetically-engineered son, Ultraman Geed.
