Shout! Factory Announces Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: The Complete Series

Happy Wednesday heroes, as we got some news coming out of Shout! Factory; the distributor has announced that they will be releasing Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger on home video. This means that Super Sentai fans can finally own all 51 episodes of the series, legally. For those who who are not aware, Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger is the 26th season of Super Sentai, having aired from February 17, 2002 to February 9, 2003. However, the series is better known to North Americans for its ever-popular adaptation as Power Rangers Ninja Storm.

Here is Shout! Factory’s official description for Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger:

Before Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, There Was Super Sentai! ~ See where the worldwide phenomenon began with the original Japanese franchise that inspired the Power Rangers!

When a tragedy befalls their fellow students on graduation day, three pupils of the Hayate Way’s Ninja Academy must take on the Jakanja — a clan of evil space warriors. But they can’t do it alone. Can they find the help they need? And can the young warriors act swiftly enough to defeat the Jakanja before they destroy the known universe?

Being a huge fan of Power Rangers Ninja Storm I am interested in picking this series up for myself. I caught glimpses of Hurricaneger while viewing various other Super Sentai series/ film, and the team has already peaked my interest. It will be a pleasure to finally see the similarities and changes between the two series.

Pre-orders are currently up on Shout! Factory’s website. Fans can click here to go to the order page and pre-order their own copy of the complete series. The release date is set for March 26, 2019 which is almost around the corner as 2018 nearly comes to a close. Nevertheless, fans of Super Sentai/ Hurricaneger, let Hero Club know some of your favorite parts from this series whether in the comments below or on social media. Anyways, I am still XBen3000 and I am out!
