Star Wars: The Bad Batch Premiere Date Announced

Earlier today, the official Star Wars website updated with the premiere date for Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The series will debut exclusively on Disney+ on Friday, May 7. For those who are unaware, the series was first announced last year. The series will focus on the Bad Batch, aka Clone Force 99, a group of unorthodox elite squad of clones. The team was first introduced in the final season of the Clone Wars. The original team consisted of Hunter, Crosshair, Tech, and Wrecker. After the events of The Bad Batch story arc, Echo joined the team as their fifth member. Similar to other Disney+ series new episodes will launch on the service every Friday after the series debuts.

The official Star Wars website provided a description for the series.

The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch — a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army — each possess a singular exceptional skill, which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose.
